Swage fittings are the fitting of choice if you are looking for a strong, aesthetically pleasing, compact end fitting for display, structural, architectural and marine uses. Once swaged, these end fittings are one of the most reliable and efficient terminations available.
All our swage fittings are A4 AISI-316 marine grade stainless steel with a polished finish so will look great for many years in any environment and be maintenance free.
The wire rope slots into the end fitting rather than needing to turnback the wire, the fitting then has to be ‘swaged’ or compressed between dies using a hydraulic press to make a permanent attachment. As you do not need to turnback the wire, you can use the smoother, non flexible wire ropes (1x19) and many people prefer the look of this for architectural and suspension projects.
Threaded studs, swage eyes, forks or jaws and balls can be used on their own or in conjunction with a rigging screw to provide tension.

Termination efficiencies for swaged fittings typically range from 90 to 100 percent of the wires minimum breaking load (MBL) depending on: 1. The type of fitting 2. Swage fittings on up to 4mm diameter cable can be pressed on site using TECNI’s YCP 240 hydraulic hand tool but generally a larger hydraulic press is required. TECNI can make cable assemblies with these fittings to order. Please ask for a quote.
Stainless steel swage jaw terminals. Also known as swage fork terminals. These fittings are perfect for balustrading or suspended systems. These fittings must be swaged using a roller swager or a hydraulic press. The clevis pin is removable will fit onto a suitably sized eye terminal or attachment point.
