TALURIT aluminium ferrules are EU manufactured to European Standard EN13411-3 and are primarily used for galvanised wire rope. A termination performed correctly with TALURIT aluminium turnback ferrules will normally withstand a tensile strength of 90% of the minimum-breaking load (MBL) of the wire rope. Verifying tests should always be done in order to find out the strength. TECNI stocks suitable pressing tools to ensure safe crimping.
What size ferrule should I use?
If crimping by hand go size for size. Example: Choose Code 1.5 ferrules for 1.5mm diameter cable and Code 3 ferrule for 3mm.
If using a hydraulic press, go up a half size. Example: Use a Code 2.5 ferrule for a 2mm wire, Code 6.5 ferrule for a 6mm rope. For larger sizes go up one size so for an 8mm rope use a Code 9 ferrule.
